Can a Christian be faithful to Christ if he votes for a candidate who champions anti-Christian causes and principles?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Specifically, can a Christian vote for a candidate who:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Favors<\/strong> Islam over the religion of Christ (hosted Ramadan dinners, but refused to host National Day of Prayer). The Bible affirms that Christianity is the one true religion (John 8:24; 14:6; et al.).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Fears<\/strong> offending Muslims but does not mind offending believers in Christ (before he delivered a speech, demanded a symbol of Jesus\u2019 name be covered). If one is ashamed of Jesus, Jesus will be ashamed of him at the Judgment (Mat. 10:32\u201333).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Ridicules<\/strong> believers in Christ (\u201cthey cling to their guns or religion\u201d). Jesus said, \u201cBlessed are ye when men shall reproach you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake\u201d (Mat. 5:11).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Heads<\/strong> a party that is opposed to God and the Bible (the original party platform removed God\u2019s name completely; when they added <em>God<\/em> because of political expediency, it was roundly booed). As with all infidels, \u201cProfessing themselves to be wise, they became fools\u201d (Rom. 1:22).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Favors<\/strong> abortion vigorously (ruled to override conscience protections relating to abortion for medical workers, favors killing babies born alive after botched abortions, favors funding abortion clinics with tax dollars, included a pro-abortion plank in his party\u2019s platform, et al.). Life begins at conception, and intentional killing\u2014in or out of the womb \u2014is murder, which will send one to Hell (Mat. 2:16; John 8:44; Rom. 1:29, 32; Rev. 21:8; et al.).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\"><strong>Advanced<\/strong> the homosexual agenda in manifold ways (announced he would not enforce the Defense of Marriage Act, announced that he favors same-sex \u201cmarriages,\u201d ordered that homosexuals would be allowed to openly serve in our military forces, ordered chaplains to perform same-sex \u201cmarriages\u201d in military chapels, et al.) Homosexual behavior is a \u201cvile passion,\u201d that is \u201cagainst nature,\u201d and is \u201cnot fitting.\u201d Those who persist in it will be lost eternally (Rom. 1:26\u201328; 1 Cor. 6:9\u201310; 1 Tim. 1:9\u201310; et al.).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif; font-size: 12pt;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 When human loyalties clash with loyalty to God, believers must be faithful to God and Jesus (Acts 5:29).
