Such was all but universal in the wicked age of Noah; all but eight persons of the ante-diluvian populace rejected God. Only two of those Hebrews who crossed the Red Sea later crossed Jordan into Canaan.<\/span><\/p>\n Jesus\u2019 words apply to every generation: \u201cMany\u201d travel the \u201cbroad way\u201d that ends in destruction, while only a \u201cfew\u201d obey serve God and walk the \u201cstrait\u201d road to life eternal (Mat. 7:13\u201314).<\/span><\/p>\n It is bad enough to reject some doctrine of God\u2019s Word. It is worse to reject it and then seek to contort the Bible to justify what one has rejected. Peter described those who would dishonestly \u201cwrest\u201d the Scriptures \u201cto their own destruction\u201d (2 Pet. 3:15\u201316). Such \u201creceived not the love of the truth\u201d and \u201cbelieved not the truth\u201d (2 The. 2:10\u201312).
