It needs to be understood that true religion and true science never conflict. It is only when men begin theorizing in science that they begin conflicting with the Bible Truths. If one accepts proven scientific principles, he will find it impossible to believe in evolutionary theories which are contrary to scientific fact. The impression is often left by textbooks, teachers, and evolutionary scientists that all<\/strong> true scientists accept evolution as a proven fact and that anyone who refuses to accept it is a pitiable ignoramus. For example, in his book, Outlines of General Zoology<\/em>, page 407, H. H. Newman says that the doctrine of evolution has no rival except \u201cthe outworn and completely refuted\u201d story of creation, which he opines is no longer believed by any except the ignorant, the dogmatic, and the prejudiced. (Mr. Newman may not be ignorant, but he shows all the signs of being dogmatic and prejudiced himself in such a statement.)<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Such pompous statements designed to arouse prejudice could hardly be further from the truth and are a disservice to science and common honesty alike. The Directory of the American Scientific Affiliation <\/em>lists dozens of pages of names of doctors, professors, scientists, authors, and others in various fields of science as its members. The constitution of this group of distinguished persons requires that its affiliates believe in the two following propositions, among other things:<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In addition, there are other nation-wide organizations such as the Bible-Science Association, Inc. and The Creation Research Society that embrace hundreds, if not thousands of the world\u2019s finest scientific minds.
