\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong>There is more and more evidence the many of us who have been warming the pews for several years are interested in really getting serious about serving Christ. To encourage this movement, I want to offer what I believe to be some practical suggestions for pumping renewed Spiritual life into your soul. I know that some of these will sound superfluous to even mention, yet I mention them because some have not yet discerned their importance. Here they are:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Perfect attendance<\/strong> at all regular class and worship opportunities. You gain strength each time you attend; you slip a little each time you forsake one.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Daily Bible reading<\/strong>. Keep in daily contact with the will of God through Bible study.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Daily Prayer<\/strong>. Keep in daily communication with God. This will keep you in constant awareness of God\u2019s nearness.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Take notes on every sermon and class<\/strong>. This multiplies your power to remember and the cumulative effect of doing this habitually is indescribable.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Read some good books<\/strong> from the church library.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Attend every special class, workshop, and lectureship <\/strong>you possibly can.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Visit someone who is sick, <\/strong>shut-in, or otherwise in need, at least once a week.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Read a good Bible tract <\/strong>at least once a week.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Pass out at least 5 tracts <\/strong>to friends or strangers every week.<\/span><\/li>\n
  10. Get involved in various evangelism programs. <\/strong>If you don\u2019t know what to do, contact your local minister. He will find a place for you.<\/span><\/li>\n
  11. Sing with a group at a local nursing home. <\/strong>It\u2019s a very enjoyable and rewarding experience.<\/span><\/li>\n
  12. Get involved in a visitation program. <\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  13. If you have any time left, <\/strong>check with one of your elders about possibilities.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I guarantee that you will become an able, effective Christian if you will work at the job through such activities as these.<\/span><\/p>\n
