Personally, I\u2019ve felt that the church has had an \u201cenergy crisis\u201d on Sunday morning at Bible Class time and even more are afflicted on Sunday night and Wednesday night. Others run short of energy during a Gospel meeting, when a workday is announced, or when they are asked to teach a Bible class. The fuel shortage relating to energy for spiritual<\/strong> causes is certainly no new development.<\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It just could be that our national energy shortage is a blessing in disguise. It will hopefully put a check on our ungodly wastefulness; it will jolt us out of a \u201ctake it for granted\u201d attitude toward our daily provisions; it will make us more thankful for what we have; it might even keep some of us at home enough on weekends to worship with the brethren once in a while.<\/span><\/p>\n [Note:<\/strong> I wrote this article for, and it was published in the Sentinel, <\/em>weekly bulletin of the Sunset Church of Christ, Carlsbad, New Mexico, of which I was editor.
