This structure includes Catholic, Orthodox, and Protestant institutions with their profusion of names, doctrines, and practices and their resultant sectarianism.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">This being so, how can it be said that the concept is \u201cin the New Testament\u201d? It\u00a0addresses\u00a0denominationalism by description, by prophecy, and by warning\u2014all of which place modern \u201cchurchianity\u201d under Divine censure.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\"><strong>Note these<\/strong> <strong>descriptions\u2026<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">By Jesus: \u201cAnd ye have made void the word of God because of your tradition\u201d (Mat. 15:6). When the \u201cfathers\u201d and councils do not agree with the Bible, Catholicism honors tradition. Protestant churches follow the same path by exalting their creeds and the traditions of Luther and Calvin above the teaching of Jesus and the apostles.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">By Jesus again: \u201cBut in vain do they worship me, Teaching as their doctrines the precepts of men\u201d (v. 9). As human precepts rendered vain the worship of those who followed them in Jesus\u2019 day, so they do today.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">Paul depicted those who \u201cperverted\u201d the true Gospel into a \u201cdifferent gospel\u201d (Gal. 1:6\u20137). The \u201cgospel\u201d of denominationalism is a perversion of the Truth\u2014a \u201cdifferent gospel.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\"><strong>Note these<\/strong> <strong>prophecies\u2026<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">By Paul: \u201c\u2026Some shall fall away from the faith,\u201d demanding celibacy and abstaining from meat (1 Tim. 4:1\u20133). Both of these are errors of Roman Catholic dogma.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">By Peter: \u201cBut there arose false prophets also among the people, as among you also there shall be false teachers\u2026\u201d (2 Pet. 2:1). As then, so now\u2014with this difference: Those false teachers, when exposed, did not start their own churches.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">\u00a0By Paul again: \u201cFor the time will come when they will not endure the sound doctrine; but, having itching ears, will heap to themselves teachers after their own lusts; and will turn away their ears from the truth\u2026\u201d (2 Tim. 4:3\u20134a). That time came, producing today\u2019s glut of human religious orders.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\"><strong>Note these warnings\u2026<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">By Jesus: \u201cEvery plant which my heavenly Father planted not, shall be rooted up\u201d (Mat. 15:13)\u2014too plain to misunderstand.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">By Paul: \u201cAs we have said before, so say I now again, if any man preacheth unto you any gospel other than that which ye received, let him be anathema\u201d (Gal. 1:9).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\">By Jesus again: \u201cAnd if the blind guide the blind, both shall fall into a pit\u201d (Mat. 15:14).
