The Creator of the universe has condescended to reveal His perfect will to mankind in the Bible. We are obligated to receive it, \u201c&#8230;not as the word of men, but, as it is in truth, the word of God\u201d (1 The. 2:13).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\"><strong>God SPOKE in the past <\/strong>to the <strong>Jewish fathers <\/strong>by various means through numerous prophets. Their grand theme was salvation through the Christ (1 Pet. 1:10\u201312).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\"><strong>God hath SPOKEN. <\/strong>Deism says He created us and has since ignored us; the Bible says He is so concerned about us that he revealed His will to us. Those who are wise know that \u201cit is not in man that walketh to direct his steps\u201d (Jer. 10:23). The world overflows with evil, but had God not spoken, how much fuller of wickedness would it be?<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\"><strong>God HATH Spoken. <\/strong>Jesus\u2019 work and teachings, culminating in His crucifixion, marked the end of the authority of the Old Testament (Col. 1:14). He promised that \u201call the truth\u201d would be revealed before the last apostle died (John 16:13). By the time Jude wrote his epistle, \u201cthe faith\u201d (i.e., the entire Gospel message) had been \u201conce for all delivered to the saints\u201d (v. 3). The New Testament allows for no subsequent revelations (Gal. 1:6\u20139; Rev. 22:18\u201319).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\"><strong>God Hath Spoken THROUGH HIS SON. <\/strong>God gave His Son all authority (Mat. 28:18). He exercises His authority through His New Testament, ratified and empowered by His shed blood (Mat. 26:27\u201328; Heb. 9:15\u201317). He spoke His will personally and through men whom He chose as His spokesmen, all of whom died by the end of the first century. God has not spoken through Joseph Smith, Mohammed, Televangelists, or any other post-New Testament self-proclaimed prophets.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\"><strong>SINCE God Has Spoken Through His Son<\/strong>: We are commanded, \u201cHear ye him\u201d (Mat. 17:5). We are to \u201csearch the Scriptures\u201d (Acts 17:11) that we may \u201cgrow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord\u201d (2 Pet. 3:18). We must submit to His authority in word and deed (Col. 3:17).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino, serif;\"><strong>Jesus\u2019 Word Will JUDGE Us. <\/strong>Jesus will judge all men (Acts 17:31; 2 Cor. 5:10).
